Three Tree Point is a low gravel spit pushing out into Puget Sound, and the wind reaching its houses comes straight off salt water. Salt on hinges and seals: the oven door
A hinge that has started to corrode stops balancing the door. It may drop open too fast, refuse to stay part-way, or close with a gap at one corner. A seal that has hardened or lost its shape lets heat out along one side, and the oven then runs longer and browns unevenly, which can look like a sensor fault when it is not.
So the door comes first on a visit here. We look at both hinges for rust and wear, check that the door closes square, and follow the seal all the way round for flattened, torn or brittle stretches. A worn hinge or seal is replaced with genuine Wolf parts made for that range, and the door is set so it closes evenly before we test the oven at temperature.
